Would you mind sharing your favorite tank tops that don’t reveal every bulge?! Now that I’m older, I feel uncomfortable with overly tight clingy tank tops.
So I usually will go up a size for fine rib tanks which I find really helps. If you want something with more beef to the fabric, these are my fave! I do M in black and L in white so it doesn’t show as much (hopefully you can get overseas?) https://go.shopmy.us/p-19900751
Uff this was so informative! Love how you explain each version so well. Got so many great ideas and as a petite woman, a lot of the formulas you shared works for my body. Love it!! 😍
I loved this. I'm a short gal (5ft 2) with a large bust and thick legs, between a size 12 to 14 (UK). I find getting proportions right so hard, especially in the summer. Vests, or tanks as you'd call them, show too much bra and cleavage, shorts or mini skirts make me self conscious... I feel like I dress badly because nothing is cut for my body. I'm always too hot or uncomfortable. Any advice?
A great way to play with shape and proportions when it’s hot is to do a fitted element like a knit tank or a straight leg pant and you can add a lightweight layer for breathable coverage (like an open button down). If you want to avoid shorts, you can look for lightweight breathable pants in linens or cotton!
Oh so funny, I just commented above to try the marine layer :) I wear M in black and L in white (I do this for almost every fitted tank bc I find white just shows more)
Thank you for the comprehensive breakdown of all the elements and formulas. I look back at certain outfits and I can literally see why I like them as I can see how they fit the formula =) I can also see how a few items that at times stump me can be styled in a visually pleasing way! ❤️ A few months ago I decided to pair things that I have a difficult time styling together to see whether it would work & it did! I even got compliments on those outfits so experimentation is so helpful. ❤️
I need to print this out and go into my closet and go to town. between this and Kelly’s post on summer dressing my brain is whirring with ideas. I’m also glad the slim sandal is such a staple because I’ve been on a sandal acquisition spree lately and don’t see myself stopping anytime soon 😂
I love how you've labeled each one and provided visuals for each because it's easier for my brain to connect it all together. I didn't realize I was doing a lot of 1/2 fitted, 1/2 loose but I totally see it! I will be trying a few of your other formulas to switch things up :)
Haha do you like my non-original names?? I wanted to try and define what we may see but not be able to articulate why we like/don’t like something so this means so much! 💛💛
So helpful!

Thank you! I'll try it. Love your work x
Love these formulas, especially the idea of using accessories to help create the small vs big visual!
Yes it’s such a fun and easy way to balance out a look!
Hi Angie for the marine layer tank, may I know what size you take? :)
Oh so funny, I just commented above to try the marine layer :) I wear M in black and L in white (I do this for almost every fitted tank bc I find white just shows more)
That’s what I’m realising! Thank you so much!
Angie these articles are amazing - so informative, thank you!
You are so welcome!
Thanks for the inspiration, Angie! I loved my outfit today, all out of my own closet!
Yay that’s the best feeling ever! 🙌🫶
The mesh bag: any similar styles you can share with us that aren't $400 which isn't in my budget right now? Thanks! This was a great newsletter.
I love this one in either color! https://go.shopmy.us/p-57232094
Also, Staud has some that are more of a short handle tote.
And honestly, this one if you want something cheap and cheerful! Very different vibe but fun! https://go.shopmy.us/p-61171906
I got the old navy - love the ombré!

Oh this makes me so happy Laura! Love that you are playing and trying new combos with your wardrobe! ❤️
As always, I learned so much, and it gave me so many good ideas as I have been feeling so flat in this new season!
Oh no! I never feel like your outfits are flat but a textured shoe or bag goes such a long way!
so much inspo this week!!
We love substack inspo!!

Ah, I need to catch up on Kellys! A slim sandal is a classic IMO! They just make every outfit so easy in terms of everything working 🙌
I wore a slouchy + slouchy yesterday and a 1 big + 1 small today. Summer formulas are THE BEST.
You are the best at slouchy + slouchy!! And one big + one small! lol these names…I need to be a better wordsmith
Change nothing!! I love your names!!
This was SO GOOD
Thank you Dana!! I’m so happy you liked it 🫶🫶
Love all of this! Where is the black plated ribbed tee from? Thx!
Hi! I think it was an old Akris Punto top ❤️
