Hi Readers,
Welcome to the monthly High-Five! Can you believe it’s already April?!
I love the start of Spring and Summer months because that means there are some fun travel plans in the works. Whether it’s a weekend getaway, a staycation, or a long haul flight – I’m in for all of it!
We have a couple exciting upcoming plans including a move further upstate and our 10 year wedding anniversary(?!). What plans do you have coming up that are you excited about? Please do let me know in the comments - I’d love to hear!

I also just wrapped up the first week of my “Office Hours”! These were 1 hour styling sessions to help with any and everything style and wardrobe related. It’s been SO nice to meet some of you virtually and thank you for trusting me with your styling questions. Some topics that were covered: outfit planning for upcoming trips, styling for a fun themed party, wardrobe edits, creative brainstorms, and fit/proportion education. These office hours will continue through next week and my hope is to be able to offer them once per season when I have a bit of extra time in my calendar. Stay tuned for the Summer dates!

Now for my April High-Five!
5 Things I’m Loving
Sharing some things I’ve been eyeing and styling for clients this month — this one is a fun high-low mix!

4 Ways To Style
Some fresh inspiration so you can see how these pieces can come to life in your own wardrobe! As always, I like to repeat some of the same pieces to show you how to restyle in different ways.

3 Newsletters To Share
There’s so much great content and writers in Substack that I’m inspired by so I thought I’d share three that I recently saved.
Jamie and Celia of Down The Street
I love art but to be honest, I don’t know the first thing about it. I just know what I’m drawn to and inspired by and this newsletter is a favorite as they help curate beautiful original art, making it accessible and easy to experience. They also have a great top hits list of coffee table books here.
Corinne Fay of Big Undies
I learn so much from Corinne’s writing but saved this one so I could re-read it again. As someone who has experienced a scarcity mindset, I really appreciated this piece. There’s so much mindset work that is tied up with our clothes. What we wear, what we buy…what we don’t wear or don’t buy. I love that Corinne shares some of hers through this honest and thought-provoking POV.
Angela Galvez of Letters We Send Friends
Angela and I both started sharing our style on social media around the same time and I’ve always loved her spot-on aesthetic. She’s a go-to for all things fashion and beauty but what I really loved was her honest writing in a recent newsletter. If you are in a creative rut or have a ping to pivot in ways you weren’t expecting, give this a read. There’s beauty in the unknown.
PS - I also contributed an outfit diary in her newsletter that’s out today!
2 Products I Recently Upgraded From AAPI Female Founders
My Cadence Set
As a frequent traveler, I’ve written a few travel/packing newsletters and one of my most popular has been my Top 10 packing tips.
When it comes to toiletries, I used to pack travel-sized versions of my favorite skincare products but I found it wasteful and annoying to frequently purchase as a lot of them aren’t actually refillable so I switched to this Cadence set a few years ago (Tip #8!).

I’ve been wanting to upgrade my toiletry bag for some time now. My bags in the past have been a mix of: pretty but not functional, beautifully crafted but bulky, or functional but not actually space saving.
I was eyeing the new Cadence parcel which just seems brilliant and chic. The brand ended up kindly gifting it to me so I’m excited to try it as I’ve been a customer for years and can stand behind the products I’ve purchased so far.

Our Dinner Knives
Ok, this is a bit random but we cook a lot and have been using basic knives forever (kind of like this) and they are fine for some things but most of the time, they don’t cut well so we just end up not using them.
I love everything that Material Kitchen does - I upgraded from mismatched kitchen tools to this simplified set and cutting boards years ago and have never been happier to streamline in our kitchen. It’s one of my favorite brands to gift.
I purchased their table knives back in December and wow, game changer. They cut with such ease and make any dining moment so much prettier!
Update 4/1: The brand kindly emailed me with a discount code to share with readers! ANGIEMATERIAL for 20% off :)
I own the original cutting boards but got my mom the newer grippy version which I’d recommend. My knife color is sold out but I love the Morel and multi-color Willow set.
