Loved this and all the styles you created! Also love the focus of buying less and styling more. This is the missing piece for so many of us. How to wear the clothes we HAVE! So helpful!

I share the same frustrations as you with most shopping hauls lacking any kind of helpful context, so I appreciate you sharing your POV on how you approach your purchases! I was happy to know I'm on the right track by taking a similar approach as you - playing dress up and seeing how new purchases fit in with the rest of what I already own. I'm in awe of how many outfits you created here! x

Yes, it's a little step that I feel really helps solidify how we feel about new purchases! I love how you share your thoughts in your 'Was it worth it?' series!

It’s really helpful to witness how you shop and I love the idea of a core set of items within your existing wardrobe that a new purchase needs to work with. I would love the details on your core pieces and why the are your chosen core. Thanks!

I just updated the post with item names + links for my core pieces!

I’m so glad to hear! I am happy to go back and add the details for the core pieces I showed. They have been shared in the past but definitely would be helpful here :)

I think of my core items as the pieces I always gravitate towards…what I feel most comfortable in, what I put on when I don’t know what to wear, what I tend to style with everything, what I travel with…it looks different for everyone!

Maybe I can share more in an upcoming newsletter!

I love that you create outfits immediately and integrate new pieces with items already in your wardrobe. It sounds so simple, but I often neglect doing this, let the new piece sit for a while, try to throw together an outfit on my way out, don't like it, and then miss the return window. Thank you for sharing your styling thought process, rather than just serving as another haul on the internet.

Hi Becca! It’s more common than you would think! I find the pieces that feel really additive or great for our wardrobes are the ones you immediately take the tag off of and want to wear and rewear right away. If you don’t get that feeling, it’s worth exploring it a bit more. A simple shift that is worth trying next time!

Yes, I learned it from my days sourcing and developing fabrics and it always came in so handy when I shopped!

I love this so much! Most of these basics I already own some version of in my closet. Going to pick up that COS cardigan too, it's gorgeous. Thanks for the inspo! x

Thanks so much Rachael! The COS cardigan might be sold out but try searching for brushed cashmere cardigan and you can find some comparable ones!

It sure is (I’m in Europe so thought I maybe had a chance at it!). Signed up for the restock waitlist🤞and will continue the search. Thanks Angie! x

Loved this and am so gutted that the cos cardigan is sold out - I tried in on in store 6 weeks ago and should have bought it there and then 🥲😢

Yes, this original content was from over a month ago so the inventory has changed but it sold out as soon as I purchased it too! Try searching for brushed cashmere cardigan...I found some comparable ones from Loulou studio, Nadaam, and J Crew!

Hi Angie! I love the idea of buying online then creating outfits to see if those really fit in the wardrobe. I’ve never thought of this!

Two questions:

1. Can you share your favorite white tees for layering?

2. Can you share the black wide leg jeans?

Thank you! 🙏🏻

Hi! a couple of my favorite white tees:

https://go.shopmy.us/p-4781914 (everyday go to with nice structure)

https://go.shopmy.us/p-9870695 (this is my everyday tee and I wear it a lot in the spring/summer but it's light enough for layering under thinner sweaters)

My black jeans are from COS! Sold out but if you search "turn up denim", you can see if any pop up!

There’s a reason you are my favorite fashion SS! I feel like you opened my eyes to realize the impact that a button down or cardigan on the waist or over the shoulder has significant impact on an outfit. That Cos cardigan is a dream!

OH MY you are so cute and this is so beyond excellent. I also, selfishly, notice that we probably have very similar frames / heights which makes this even more like sort of a gift from the wardrobe gods to me, specifically. I'm smitten. Thank you. Xx

Haha thank you Jennifer! And yes, so nice when that happens! Kind of takes a bit of the guesswork out of:)

So helpful!! Thank you so much. I was curious where your jeans are from, the light wash. I love the cut. Thank you!

I get asked about these jeans so much!! It’s the Pistola Lexi in the Bowie wash. I heard from a few ppl that they couldn’t find mins so these are the exact ones/site I purchased from: https://go.shopmy.us/p-9059912

Mine have been worn a lot for the last year or so and washed a bunch so it might look a bit lighter than a new piece!
