I have to admit that I’ve never given the basic T much thought. Despite their versatility I avoid them because I’m clumsy and I spill a lot (especially coffee) how do you keep yours white!!

I’m fairly clumsy too 😬 I always carry a tide pen with me without fail and just soak it or throw it in the wash if I get a big stain. Otherwise I just do regular wash and try to air dry and they have stayed white! If a stain sets, I take a q tip and dab it with bleach and run it gently across the stain for like 5-10 mins max and it comes right out! (Learned that tip from my mom)

This was incredibly useful! Need to look closer at that Leset Margot Tee

I’m so glad Julia! I think the Leset tee is definitely worth a try. I take into account the fabric weight, fit and durability over time to retain its shape and this one has passed! I’ve had it for a year and still in as good condition as when I first got it

It's so important that a tshirt holds shape! And I love the way it fits both on you and on the model on the site🥰

A new subscriber here! Have to say that I am enjoying your writing and point of view. I love a good deep dive into specific garments - the why, the how - and appreciate that your newsletters aren’t just shopping lists and links. How about a denim deep dive next? Are you a vintage denim fan??

That’s so kind Francine and thank you for subscribing! I wish I knew more about vintage denim! I tend to just keep the denim I like for a very long time. I love the suggestion though so maybe I could collab with someone who is more of an expert on this!

Loved everything about this post! Especially the reflection piece and how your own style language translates to your white tee rotation. Brilliant.
