Angie Angie Angie, I don’t know how you do it, you broke down the components of The Row for me in a fresh way. I feel like I’m seeing the concepts (color, shape, etc) for the first time as, I admit, it’s hard for me to remove the label and its connotations from it.

I’m a massive Olsen fan but I’d have to rely on second hand purchasing to enjoy The Row. But, really, it’s their eye for styling that I love and you just made the piece fall into place.

Thanks so much Kelly!! I’m glad it was helpful and I think what the brand does so well is texture and shape + consistency in color palette + fresh accessories so it always feels new but super versatile and wearable!

This is such a great feature! Love that it’s about inspiration and not just purchasing more stuff. Please do more of these!!

Thanks so much Francine! I think this journal will always be a styling over shopping newsletter first! ❤️ I’d love to do more of these so I’ll keep an eye out on what else is inspiring me!

I really enjoyed this - even though I’m not a Row disciple - but I had already screenshot the sweater/lace slip/jean look to recreate for fall and I really liked your take on it. It would be fun to see you do this with other designers.

Thanks so much Jacqueline! I’d love to see your take on it…feel free to send me a message or drop it in the chat when you try it out! I’d love to recreate with some other designers - great idea! ❤️

Holy mama this was good. I am saving for an eternity. PS I’d have run through a paywall like the Kool Aid man with a credit card for this.

😂best compliment ever Jennifer!! Thank you for reading! ❤️

So much inspiration in these looks. As a massive Olsen and Row fan without a Row budget, I’m in love! 😍😍😍

Aww thanks for reading Priscila! There are so many of us Olsen fans, I love it! ❤️

Do you have a go-to white tee you recommend? I’ve struggled with this for as long as I can remember, particularly with the neck not being high enough (but not mock neck, just not “loose” or jewel neck if that makes sense). Curious if any reccos.

Hi Kari! I’ve been hunting for the perfect white tee for so long! I would recommend Leset’s Margo tee — it’s got a clean sturdy crew neck that can be layered under sweaters, true to size straight fit (not too slim not too oversized), and a thick quality that lasts. On the higher end but I think it’s truly worth it for how often I wear it! My second favorite is AYR Sno cone tee but they sadly discontinued it :( you may be able to find secondhand? I did a mini round up of some other options here!

Angie, this is amazing!! Definitely saving these styling notes for future reference. I've always admired The Row but haven't yet bought anything from the brand, so I love how you've made their style accessible with these tips. I especially love the idea of mixing seasons and it's something I'm going to try to experiment with this fall. All these looks are so good - the first one with the monochrome base and black coat is my absolute favourite. x

Thanks so much for reading Maria! Can’t wait to see how you style your cross-season items! ❤️

Love this so much! Mind sharing what the black pants are in the last image on the left? Love them!

Oh thank you! They are Donni’s taffeta pant. They run slightly big so I sized down but they have an elastic waist. Only thing I wish was that they had pockets! https://go.shopmy.us/p-5013267

Thank you! No pockets how dare they!

The way I got so excited to see another newsletter from you appear in my feed! Love all your recreations, but the slip dress under the grey sweater takes the cake!

Angie… my favorite part was the red babbouche slides. The black suit looks great on you but Wardrobe and Co/ and or Cos are similar in price to the Row. I actually own nothing from the Row but dress mostly like this naturally. Also Angie did we work together on Washington St for @generra. If this is you congratulations and if not where is my fashion girl who moved to Greenwich? Either way when will those clouds disappear

Ah I love the slippers too…you can make a great outfit with really anything in your closet! My goal was just to use what I own so that did include some higher end pieces but also high street like COS. Not the same Angie you are thinking of but wouldn’t that have been nice!

This was actually really useful - you'd see pinterest boards with pins of the row...but the thing about the row is about the layering and how you pair items...to create that distinct, just thrown on effortless chic look.

Oh I’m so glad Katie! Sometimes it’s just taking it from an inspiration we keep referencing and actually applying it to our own pieces to see what we like vs dislike for ourselves!

Great breakdown of the styling from the runway. This is a great reminder of how taking the time to analyze commonalities amongst looks you like makes it easier to replicate a style, as opposed to hastily looking for one to one copies.

Yes Grace! 👏sometimes it’s just the vibe or essence we want to capture so it could just be taking elements of a look and making it your own. One I notice I’m drawn to a lot w The Row is the puddled hems so I apply it to trousers but also baggy denim

Loooove. These looks are so good, I think the suit is my favourite!

Thanks so much Angharad! I quite liked the baggy suit too…such a fun way to play with proportions ❤️

Echoing the above that the emphasis on styling vs shopping is the gem here! Thank you for sharing tangible tools AND pairing them with styled looks. So cool ✨
